Now, in May of 2025 the audio podcast “Big Discussion” is aiming to relaunch an episode. On May 31, 2025 Saturday afternoon as the topic will be on SEPTA Bus Redesign before the funding crisis. I am hoping to have engaged listeners to the discussion while sharing my opinion on the topic.

There is some skepticism regarding the effectiveness of microtransit in increasing ridership, particularly in the suburbs where it is already low. SEPTA has not effectively promoted microtransit, leading to doubts about its acceptance among current riders. The podcast will explore these challenges and consider SEPTA’s potential need to adjust its plans based on rider reactions. The discussion highlights that microtransit has not been widely popular in other U.S. cities.
