The Philadelphia Eagles were defeated by 49ers tonight in a wild-card NFL playoff game. The Eagles offense struggled against 49ers since they could only score 19 points. And the Eagles defense could not stop 49ers offense from the beginning. The 49ers scored on the first drive down the field in the first quarter and they never looked back. The 49ers were able to knock out the Super Bowl champions of last year because of Christian McCaffrey and their incredible defense. McCaffrey had two touchdowns in this wild-card playoff game and was basically the leader tonight along with QB Purdy. The 49ers outplayed the Eagles as they seemed to want to advance more than Philadelphia and get closer to Super Bowl 60. As for the Eagles they will have to wait until next year and try to improve on both sides of the ball during the off-season.
